Chris Loefgren graduated in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering from the ETH/Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zürich, Switzerland

His long international career with the Dow Chemical Company spanned many geographies and a wide range of technologies and businesses in various management positions.Chris Loefgren joined Dow in 1967 in the Netherlands.He has since held assignments working in Brasil,Germany,The USA(Freeport,Texas and Midland,Michigan) and Switzerland

He has been a member of numerous business teams and held area or global R&D management positions for polyurethane products,epoxy resins,emulsion polymers,specialty chemicals,chemicals and performance products.His R&D management responsibilities include Process&Manufacturing technology,Product Research, Application and Customer/Market Developments and European management of Health,Environmental Sciences and Regulatory Affairs

In 1990 he was named Vice President Chemicals and Performance Products,Hydrocarbons and New Business Development R&D for Dow Europe and was instrumental in leading the efforts to identify and develop several new global businesses for Dow
